Lined seahorses face challenges in the wild primarily due to being traded for ornamental display, as aquarium fishes, and in traditional Chinese medicine. They are also commonly found as bycatch.

Guests can see the Lined Seahorses year-round in the Aquarium & Reptile Conservation Center. They are found in the mangrove habitat.
