What is SAFE?
Saving Animals From Extinction (SAFE) focuses the collective expertise within AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums and leverages their massive audiences to save species. SAFE partners work together to protect threatened animals, build on established species recovery plans, implement strategic actions, and measure and report conservation progress. Riverbanks is a proud program partner for 6 species in our care that are threatened with extinction, providing much-needed funds from the Satch Krantz Conservation Fund and other in-kind services.
